Goff Creek offers a vast collection of trail rides throughout the Shoshone National Forest and the neighboring Yellowstone Park. You can ride the magnificent trails that Teddy Roosevelt rode. Whether you want to ride into a mountain meadow or venture atop a mountain ridge taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding valley, you and your horse will enjoy a memorable riding experience. Riding takes place from early May through the fall season. Goff Creek Lodge is a great place for overnight pack trips, guided by professionals for the utmost in a wilderness experience.

It is not at all unusual to witness true wildlife wandering through the surrounding Yellowstone Valley. Local wildlife varieties include Elk, Mountain Sheep and Goats, Buffalo, Bears, Mule Deer, and various birds, including Bald and Golden Eagles. Moose and Buffalo are regularly in the area. 

The area indulges visitors with some of the greatest Fly Fishing in the west. Avid anglers can fish in high mountain lakes and streams from tiny brooks to -renowned Yellowstone Lake. The lake is less than 30 miles away, and the North Fork of the Shoshone River is also close by.

Fishing is made more enjoyable for the serious fisherman as the area allows them to make arrangements to spend overnight fishing trips into the wilderness with experienced fishing guides if required. The fishing guides will know where the “big ones” are biting.

If fishing is not your cup of tea, then the high and lonesome country of East Yellowstone is just the place. Here you can learn to pack, guide, set a camp (the right way), pick your stock, and enjoy the wilderness the way it was meant to be. There are lots of opportunities in the area to get to enjoy what you want to during your valuable time away from work.
